This is one of the best photographs ever taken of Bob Scobey. Hary Bowden took this on July 25, 1953 on the ferryboat Fort Sutter. From the collection of Charles Campbell. Bob's middle name was Alexander which was also the name of his son. His first recording after the Yerba Buena Jazz Band was for the Trilon label and the band's name was Alexander's Jazz Band with the leader's name, R. Alexander Scobey. Bob Also used the name Alexander for the brief period he owned the former Hambone Kelly's.
