The Turk Murphy Band

The Turk Murphy Band

1959

l-r: The banjo player was "Peanuts" Fitch who liked to wear coyboy boots. For a gig in Nevada, he purchased a cowboy hat and a gun which he used to shoot holes in his new hat. He did not last long with the band. "Peanuts" Fitch, banjo; Pat Yankee-vocals, Turk Murphy-trombone, Jack Carroll-trumpet, Bob helm-clarinet, Pete Clute-piano, and Bob Short-tuba. Photo taken by Jack Farrell in Virginia City, Nevada.
