On Monday, April 20, 2009, your SFTJF had its quarterly board meeting. The preceding Thursday we decided to have a last-minute-announced gathering of some of the musician board and staff members, including Jim Cullum in town from San Antonio, at Pier 23 in San Francisco. Because of the last minute nature of the event, we sent an email announcement to all members and “friends” for whom we had email addresses on file. Of the 500 or so emails sent, over 200 “bounced”, but enough got through to result in a fantastic turn-out.
