Getting or Resetting Your Password

Based on some (surprisingly very few, actually) reports of members having problems getting passwords and being able to log in on our website, we thought it would be a good idea to provide this page to show the procedure for getting a password and being able to access the new members-only pages and the new Crickets as they come out.

Here is the procedure:

1. The first thing you need to do is go to http://www.sftradjazz.org/memberlogin.php to get a temporary password that will be sent to your email address (you email address is what we are using as your "user name"). Note: if you mistype your email address, you will get an error message saying you are probably not a member!
   
   
2. On the member login page, click on the link that says, "Click here to get one..." (Do NOT click on the "Login" button!)
   
   
3. This will take you to a page to (carefully!) type in your email address and click the button that says "Get new temporary password."
   
   
4. You will soon receive an email with an 8 character nonsense word that is your temporary password. Near the end of the email will be a link to a page where you can reset this temporary password to a new one of your choice.
   
   
5. Click on the link. You will be sent to a page to enter your email address (again), the temporary password you received in the email, and a new password of your choice plus an edit box to verify what you typed for your new password.
   
   
6. This new password is the one you should remember and use every time you log into the SFTJF website.
